Hello,

I am doing some work on Donne's "The Flea" and have been told that the poem may be influenced by flea poems that proliferated in the 16th century. Does anyone have more information about this topic -- or know if Donne's poem was influenced by a particular "flea" poem or trope explored in the work of either Ovid or Petrarch?
